As Vice President of Silver Companies, Spencer has taken on a variety of roles in the family business since a young age applying what he has learned from his father and grandfather. Spencer began his career in real estate, overseeing a division of Silver Companies by implementing and analyzing senior housing data. Today Spencer is focused on growing the family-owned business into its third generation. His responsibilities cover all areas of the business, ranging from multifamily development and operations, to expanding opportunities within Silver Capital. Prior to joining Silver Companies full-time, Spencer worked at Meridian Capital in research and underwriting. Spencer graduated from the Canfield Business Honors Program in the McCombs School of Business at University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Business Honors and Finance.
Jesse A. Holshouser
Chief Financial Officer
Jesse Holshouser joined Silver Companies as Chief Financial Officer in January, 2003. His responsibilities include corporate and project financing, asset management, due diligence, risk management and accounting and reporting.
During his 40-year career in corporate and real estate finance, Jesse has specialized in real estate financing, development, investment, acquisitions and operations, deal structuring, market research, financial modeling, strategic planning, and risk management. He was an advisor to Jack Nicklaus immediately prior to joining Silver Companies. Prior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer of the PGA of America for 11 years where he also served as Managing Director of its golf course development, licensing and management group. Prior to the PGA, Jesse was the Chief Financial Officer of a real estate investment banking firm for four years, a management consultant with Price Waterhouse for five years and a real estate appraiser and analyst with a savings and loan for four years. Jesse earned an MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan in 1978 and earned a B.B.A. in real estate from Florida Atlantic University in 1975.
Gregg DeSantis
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Gregg oversees a diverse range of business operations to ensure the company maintains its long-term goals and strategic direction of comprehensive and sustainable growth. He heads up site acquisitions, negotiates pricing, and conducts due diligence. Gregg has extensive experience in the acquisition, development and management of convenience stores. He originally joined Silver Companies in 1988 where he managed Silver’s investment in convenience stores. Operating under the Silver Express brand, Gregg developed and franchised the stores. Following Silver’s sale of the business, Gregg was President of CFM Development Corp. Based in Wheeling WV, he developed and managed more than 50 convenience store and gasoline locations in the Ohio Valley. Gregg attended West Liberty University and was formerly a Commissioner of Brooke County, WV.
Tim Bostrom
VP, Multi-family Asset Management
Tim oversees our multi-family communities and related new properties nationally. He brings 20+ years of experience and expertise in the real estate industry and has achieved the designation of CAM and CAPS from the National Apartment Association. Tim is responsible for driving growth and revenue across our multi-family portfolio, working with the management companies and other external partners, developing strategic plans, preparing annual budgets and monitoring performance.
Prior to joining Silver Companies, Tim worked for several property management firms where he served as both Regional Property Manager and Regional Vice President. Most recently, he achieved success driving growth across eight apartment communities comprising more than 1900 units, part of a larger national portfolio. Tim holds a B.S. in Real Estate Management from Virginia Tech.
Daniel Conn
VP of Finance & Administration
As Vice President of Finance and Administration for Silver Companies, Daniel reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for assisting the CFO with his various duties, from oversight of tax planning, finance, and accounting, to investment analysis. Prior to joining Silver Companies, Daniel worked as Director of Finance for a large real estate company in Central Florida, where he oversaw the full accounting process, cash flow, income tax, trust management and was frequently called upon for investment analysis. Prior to that he worked in public accounting for a few years where he prepared and reviewed tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
Daniel attended the University of Central Florida where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his master’s degree in taxation. He was recruited by the Knight’s athletic department to run cross country while attending the university. In 2018, he received the Notable Knight award by the UCF College of Business for displaying promise and excellence early in his career path. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida.
Jarad Scher
Senior Financial Analyst
Jarad joined Silver Companies in 2008. He is responsible for analyzing investment opportunities and asset management. Prior to joining Silver Companies, Jarad was CFO of Summit Brokerage Services, an independent broker-dealer that provides a full complement of investment products and services, including traditional brokerage services, fee-based products, and annuities and other insurance-related products. Prior to that he worked in public accounting for two years where he served clients involved in real estate construction and development. Jarad also worked as a Controller for a property management firm. Jarad earned his M.B.A. in Real Estate Development from Nova Southeastern University and a B.B.A. with a concentration in accounting from James Madison University. Jarad became a CPA in 2012.
Robert Rajeczky
Vice President of Hospitality
As Vice President of Hospitality, Robert oversees all management of events and food and beverage operations for our multi-family communities and our agritourism resort, The Lodge at Moss Neck. He is responsible for training and managing event planners and hospitality staff, as well as developing corporate partnerships with businesses to negotiate cost efficiencies on products and services for events. Robert brings a wealth of experience to Silver Companies, from working for 15 years at Bocaire Country Club, an exclusive country club located in Boca Raton, FL, where he was the Food and Beverage Director, to co-owning the T’Bretonje Tavern in Belgium. Robert holds many certifications from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, a professional management development program, and was the recipient of the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation “John Clifford Memorial Scholarship Award.” Robert earned his A.A.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Palm Beach College, and holds a B.B.A. from Northwood University in Business Management.
Lori Axler
Director of Marketing
Lori is responsible for overseeing all on-going marketing and communications efforts, including developing and managing marketing strategies to support business objectives across Silver Companies’ diverse portfolio. Lori brings 20+ years of experience to Silver Companies, working in advertising and marketing for global brands at both Manhattan advertising agencies and on the client side for Fortune 500 corporations. Most recently, Lori worked with companies to launch, grow and rebrand their businesses through her marketing consulting firm, Brand You. Lori’s brand marketing experience includes: Pulte Homes, Centex Homes, GlaxoSmithKline, Proctor & Gamble, DHL Express, Major League Baseball, United States Olympic Committee, and Rita’s Italian Ices. Lori graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Communications and English Writing.
Rabbi Josh Broide
Director of Silver Foundation
Since 2000, Rabbi Josh Broide has been at the forefront of the nonprofit world leading the way with innovative and award-winning initiatives. He now serves as the Director of both the Silver Foundation and the Deborah and Larry D. Silver Center for Jewish Engagement, a Division of Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. Josh is also the Outreach Rabbi at Boca Raton Synagogue as well as a Senior Rabbinic Fellow of the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, Israel.
Rabbi Broide received his Rabbinical Ordination and earned a Masters in Advanced Talmudic Law from the Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition, he earned a Masters in Special Education and a Masters in School Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University. He received a certificate in Rabbinic Management for Jewish Leaders from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
The Deborah & Larry D. Silver Center for Jewish Engagement was awarded the prestigious Jerusalem Unity Prize at the special ceremony with the President of the State of Israel. Josh was named one of America’s Most Inspiring Rabbis by the national Jewish Daily Forward newspaper. He is the recipient of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s James & Marjorie Baer Outstanding Young Leadership Award and the prestigious Grinspoon-Steinhardt Award for Excellence in Jewish Education. He was recognized by the Jewish Federation of North America as a Jewish Community Hero in recognition of his contribution to the Jewish Community and the ideal of Tikkun Olam. He also received the National Jewish Outreach Program (NJOP) Leslie Nelkin Special Service Award for his commitment to outreach.
B. Judson Honaker
President, Commercial Development
Jud Honaker has been associated with Silver Companies for more than 25 years and now leads the Commercial Development Division. He oversees sales, leasing, construction, engineering, and property management of our commercial development projects. He has developed, leased and sold commercial projects comprising more than 4 million square feet of retail and commercial space.
Prior to joining Silver Companies, he was employed by Mary Washington Hospital. Jud is a lifelong resident of Fredericksburg and has been involved with numerous organizations. He is a member of the Fredericksburg Regional Alliance. He is a past Chairman of the Rappahannock United Way and has served on the City Industrial Development Authority. Jud Honaker is a recipient of the Jaycees Outstanding Young Virginian Award. In 2011 Virginia’s Governor appointed Jud to the Board of Visitors at the University of Mary Washington.
Edward O. Minnear, Jr.
President, Residential Development
Ed Minniear has led the Residential Division since 1978. This division acquires plans and develops residential communities and sells lots to home builders. It has developed approximately 50,000 home sites in single-family, planned unit and active adult retirement communities.
Ed is a past President of the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association and an inductee in its Hall of Fame. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Mary Washington Hospital Foundation since 1989. Ed is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Industrial Management.
Steve Jones
VP, Leasing and Sales
Steve has been involved in the real estate development business in the greater Fredericksburg area since 1980. Steve joined Silver Companies in October 2014 as Vice President of Leasing and Sales.
Prior to joining Silver Companies, Steve was the Chief Operating Officer of the Fried Companies, Inc., a regional residential and commercial real estate development firm located out of Fairfax County, Virginia. As COO, Steve was responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s operations and real estate portfolio while overseeing the construction and management of several operating businesses in Virginia. In 2011 Steve was promoted to President. Before joining the Fried Companies, Steve was Executive Vice President for a local developer for 22 years and worked on numerous projects in Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, Downtown Richmond and Hampton Roads. Steve is a proud graduate of Germanna Community College with a degree in Business Management. Through the years, Steve has generously given his time and talents to many community boards and committees including Germanna Community College’s Educational Foundation board.
Jervis C. Hairston
VP, Planning
Jervis Hairston joined Silver Companies in 2003 after a distinguished career in urban planning and zoning administration with the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia. As Director of Planning and Community Development, he served as the city’s chief planner for 23 years. With Silver Companies for nearly 13 years, Jervis has worked primarily with jurisdictions in the Fredericksburg region, metropolitan Washington, D.C area and in other states assisting in the planning, entitlement and permitting of residential subdivisions and mixed-use projects. More recently, Jervis has been serving as project manager for a variety of commercial and residential development projects, and in conducting research and due-diligence in the acquisition of land for future development, redevelopment, and adaptive re-use. Jervis holds a Masters Degree in City Planning from the University of Virginia, where he serves as an adjunct professor.
Chris Newport
VP, Senior Housing
Chris holds licensure from the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and nursing home administrator licensures across several states. He graduated from Indiana State University with a B.A. degree in Sociology and Business Administration and later earned his M.B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2015.
Marko L. Brakovich

TJ Pathak
Vice President of Investment Management
TJ’s responsibilities include performing due diligence and financial analysis on new qualified investment opportunities. He oversees financial modeling and analysis of proposed investment structures as well as asset management for development and operating properties.
TJ was most recently Finance Director of Reporting for HEI Hotels, in Norwalk, Connecticut where he led variance and loan reporting and compliance, budgeting, lender refinance negotiation, base fee analysis and valuations. HEI operates over 85 luxury, upper-upscale and upscale independent and branded hotels and resorts throughout the US with annual combined revenues in excess of $2.2 billion. Prior to HEI, TJ held financial roles at JP Morgan among various other real estate companies. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
Ali E. Dominguez
Vice President of Finance and Accounting
Ali holds a degree in Accounting from Florida International University, and he earned an MBA with a concentration in Accounting from St. Thomas University.
Jesse Tasher
Vice President of Investment Management
Jesse Tasher joined Silver Companies as Vice President of Investment Management in July of 2022. He is responsible for new acquisitions, development, and investment Management. Previously, Jesse worked for Codina Partners, where he helped to oversee acquisitions, dispositions and asset management of Codina’s expansive portfolio. Prior to working with Codina, Jesse worked for Ares Management in New York City, where he was instrumental in building their expansive multifamily acquisitions and development platform. With over 12 years of experience in the multifamily investment and development sector Jesse has been directly involved in the acquisition and development of over 20,000 multifamily units across the United States.
Jesse holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Monmouth University in New Jersey.
